The Entropia Universe is the online application of the Entropia Universe Platform; it’s a vast virtual universe with dynamic planetary systems that will provide an array of activities in a 3D environment.
Right now, it’s where users go to visit Planet Calypso, the first planet in the Entropia Universe. However, several partners are in the development stages for their own territories and planets to house content for users. In the near future, users will be able to go online to do almost anything they do in real life, go to a rock concert, shop in a shopping mall, meet friends or even take a vacation.

The Entropia Universe is an entirely new way for users to interact with objects, products and games. It’s all about dynamic, 3-dimensional interaction. The environments are designed to look and feel like they would if we were actually there. Users create avatars, virtual representations that serve as an online representation of the user, which they use to participate in online activities. As they interact, the environment and users evolve and develop much the same way people and their environments interact and evolve in real life.

Another innovation in the Entropia Universe is the fact that it has its own economic system and its own currency, Planet Entropia Dollars (PED), which is linked to the US dollar at a rate of 10 PED to the USD. All transactions in the Entropia Universe have a value which can be calculated in hard currency.
