Entertainment brands and youth-oriented companies are increasingly integrating virtual worlds into their product mix. Forward thinking brand advertisers and agencies are aligning themselves with high-quality virtual worlds franchises in order to further engage consumers.

MindArk exhibit Entropia Universe to the International Consumer Electronic Show (CES) in Las Vegas, Nevada. Considered one of the major technology-related trade shows, CES reaches across global markets, connects the industry and enables CE innovations to grow and thrive.
CES is produced by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), the preeminent trade association promoting growth in the consumer technology industry. CEA represents more than 2,100 corporate members involved in the design, development, manufacturing, distribution and integration of consumer electronics products.
Attendees joining CES from MindArk are David Simmonds, Justin Sorrell, Terpin Communications, John Bates and a large number of Entropia Ambassadors including Jon "Neverdie" Jacobs, Skalman, Jason "Neomaven" Peterson along with over 200,000 visitors which will make this one of the biggest events for Entropia Universe to date.
Events will include the Champions League Finals live from the Entropia stand: No. 25321, the south hall 2nd floor.

The pan-European virtual worlds confex connected brands, major corporations, digital and virtual worlds agencies, media and entertainment players and games companies, technology suppliers, analysts and commentators, lawyers, regulators and venture capitalists and all those harnessing the power of virtual worlds to engage with clients, suppliers or customers. The event had over 450 attendees from 23 countries.

Some 2800 journalists from over 35 countries are in attendance at this international meeting point for commerce, developers, publishers, manufacturers and service providers from the computer and video game sector.

With Entropia Universe and other virtual spaces growing tremendously over the past year, the U.S. Congress turned to Mindark and its experience with Entropia to shed light on a number of issues where virtual worlds may intersect with public policy.
Mindarks expertise proved very helpful in this matter and the opportunity was greatly appreciated to discuss insights, observations and concerns.

Swedish MindArk and Chinese Cyber Recreational Development Corp. sign Agreement to Create the Largest Virtual World Ever
MindArk's CEO Jan Welter and CRD's CEO David Liu sign the landmark agreement to create a cash-based virtual economy for China. Goteborg's Mayor Göran Johansson was also present at the ceremony, as were leading officials from MindArk and Business Region Goteborg.
The new project will permit up to 7 million concurrent users logged into the virtual universe with an overall aim to attract some 150 million users from all over the world. Entropia Universe, a three-dimensional universe on the Internet intended for entertainment, work, commerce, community building, culture, and much more, is expected to generate over $1 billion annually in commerce from this partnership.

MindArk's Management Accept the Goteborg Company Award 2007
MindArk's Marketing Director Carl Uggla, CEO Jan Welter and Business Development Director David Simmonds accept the Goteborg Company Award at Hotel Radisson in central Goteborg from Goteborg's Mayor Göran Johansson.
The Company Award was introduced by the Trade and Industry Group in January 1994, and has so far been won by over 40 companies. The award is aimed at supporting industrial development in the Goteborg region and rewarding positive enterprise. Positive enterprise benefits customers, employees, business owners and society.

More than 600 professionals from 19 countries participated in Conference, the leading event for Fortune 500 businesses seeking to understand and maximize marketing and business strategies within virtual worlds.

MindArk's David Simmonds, Business Development Director, and Carl Uggla, Director of Special Projects and marketing, joined several leading Swedish companies like Volvo, SKF and Ericsson at the Sweden - India business day in Chennai on the 1st of Febuary. Present were also Maud Olofsson, deputy Prime Ministerof Sweden, as well as the mayors of Gothenburg and Chennai amongst others.

MindArk takes the Entropia Universe to China

MindArk's David Simmonds, Business Development Director, and Carl Uggla, Director of Special Projects and marketing, joined several leading Swedish companies like Volvo and Ericsson at the Sweden – China business day in Shanghai on the 1st of September. Present were also Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Carl Philip of Sweden, as well as the mayors of Gothenburg and Shanghai amongst others.
Mr. Simmonds gave a speech explaining the Entropia Universe to an enthusiastic audience of Chinese IT specialists. He also showed films from the game before joining Carl Uggla and representatives from Volvo, Ericsson and Telmatics for a panel discussion on possible cooperation between Swedish and Chinese companies.
Following the conclusion of the successful meetings in Shanghai, Mr. Uggla was invited to Beijing for high level negotiations where he was asked about the chances for a launch of the Entropia Universe in China. He smiled, and said he has good hopes of such a launch, adding that MindArk and the representatives of the government connected company Dotman found they have several things they can do together when it comes to cyber recreational activities in China. Dotman is investing an initial 30 billion dollars in a Cyber Recreation District in Beijing and aim to make this the hub of all such activities in China . "Of course we want to be a part of this venture," says Mr. Uggla.
